Thruout the DBZ cartoons, when certain characters are surprised, their eyes will bug out of their head. The eyeball will appear to project out from the head for a few inches. This is not just a cartoon exxageration. This is based on how the human body is constructed.

The human body is said to be grounded when it behaves as if strings are pulling all parts of the body towards the ground. When a person becomes surprised, they lose control of these strings. That is why the eyes bug out of the head. It is as if the eyeballs have springs in the back of them in the eye socket. The strings I am describing hold the eyeball down against the pressure of the spring. When the person is surprised, they lose control of the strings and the eyeball is pushed forward by the spring in the socket.

This actually happens to real people in real life. It is to a much smaller degree that you have to look close to see it. The exaggerated cartoon eye bulge demonstrate that the cartoonists have a particular type of knowledge of how the body functions. This particular type of knowledge can be learned from kung fu.

Meg Xvid MPEG 3 - Big Eye Surprise

This video shows Ninja Murasaki walking across a pond. He puts on some circular shaped shaped shoes, then walks across the water to the other side. This is really possible. If the shows are made lightweight and are wide enough, the person can walk across the water by shifting their weight in a certain way. This is not a made up for the cartoon imaginary trick.

A nicely filmed example of a person doing this kind of idea is in the movie The 36 Chambers of Shaolin. In that movie, the man walks on the water on plates that are wide and circular.
